FC BARCELONA: More than a club


There is a debate :
 which club is the best ever?
and what exactly makes a football club best?


 

Especially in recent years, people from across the world have developed a sort of connection with FC Barcelona. Barca has some of the best players in the world, a strong legacy, and a big fan base of Barca making this club the best ever.


Barcelona football club, also known as Barca, is one of the world's most successful and popular football clubs. founded in 1899, the club has a rich history and a loyal fan base that spans the globe. With a record-breaking number of titles and a star-studded squad, Barcelona is known as the best club in the football world.

History of FC Barcelona

The club was formed in 1899 by businessman Joan Gamper who advertised for players in a local Barcelona sports magazine. in 1902 the club won its first trophy which was Copa Macaya(Catalan championship). In 1910, the club participated in the first of many European competitions. In 1928, Barcelona co-founded La Liga, the top tier in Spanish football, along with a string of other clubs. Till now in 2022, Barcelona has never been relegated from La Liga. 

Joan Gamper
*On 14 June 1925, in a spontaneous reaction against Primo de Rivera's dictatorship, the crowd in the stadium jeered the Royal March. As a reprisal, the ground was closed for six months and Gamper was forced to relinquish the presidency of the club. This coincided with the transition to professional football, and, in 1926, the directors of Barcelona publicly claimed, for the first time, to operate a professional football club. On 3 July 1927, the club held a second testimonial match for Paulino Alcantara, against the Spanish national team. To kick off the match, local journalist and pilot Josep Canudas dropped the ball onto the pitch from his airplane. In 1928, victory in the Spanish Cup was celebrated with a poem titled "Oda a Plakto", which was written by a member of the Generation of '27, Rafael Alberti, inspired by the heroic performance of the Barcelona goalkeeper, Franz Platko. Two years after the victory, on 30 July 1930, Gamper committed suicide after a period of depression brought on by personal and financial problems.*(copied from the same link below)

"Tiki-taka football"

Barcelona is known for its distinctive style of play, known as "tiki-taka" or Tiqui-taca. It become more successive club when it comes to playing the style Tiki-take this style emphasizes possession of the ball, quick passing, short passing, and movement, and is often associated with the club's legendary coach, Pep Guardiola. under Guardiola's leadership, Barcelona won 14 Trophies in just four seasons, including two UEFA Champions League titles. he was a great coach for our club. This style is very unique & also an art of football. we love to see this tiki-taka. As a Barca fan, I love to see this in every match of Barcelona.

The home ground and Training ground


The home ground of Barca is called "Camp Nou". Which is the second-largest stadium of

the world and can hold over 99000 spectators. The stadium is the largest in Europe and has hosted some of the biggest matches in football history, including the UEFA Champions League finals. And the training ground is called "La Masia". This training ground is a breathing space for all the players of Barca.






The Era of Lionel Messi

Lionel Andres Messi, The little magician is an Argentine footballer who played for Barca for 21 years. At 11, Messi came to Barcelona and joined this club. this little magician scored his first goal on May 1, 2005. At that time Messi was the first youngest player who scored in Laliga. he has the opportunity to play with great players like Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Ronaldinho, and many more. and he won his first Ballon d'Or with this club. 
with Messi, Barca has achieved some major trophies like 4 UEFA Champions League, 10 Laliga, 7 Copa del Rey, and many more. To some internal corruption, Barca faced some money issues in this situation they can not capable to have Messi in their club, so in 2021 Messi leave Barcelona. and thus the magical era had to end.



Conclusion

Barca is a club of emotion, philosophy, and a great history. I am a pure Barca fan. I enjoy every single match of Barca. This club gives me so much enjoyable moments of the greatest show on earth. I think Barca is not only a club it is more than a club.
