Istanbul city is located in northwestern Turkey, straddling the Bosporus Strait. This city is not only filled with rich heritage but also natural picturesque beauty. It is the largest city and the prime financial center of Turkey.

The World Heritage Site includes buildings and structures such as Saratburnu, The Topkap Palace, The Hagia sophia, Dolmahace Palace, The sultan ahamed mosque, Kiz Kulesi, Gulahane Park, Suleymaniye Mosque, Taksim Square, Little Hagia Sophia, Istanbul Archaeological Museum and the Walls of Constantinopole. Firstly,I would love to mention the famous Hagia Sophia. The beauty of the Hagia Sophia is known by many people. However,many people may not know the history of this world heritage. It is located on Istanbul's European side in the Sultanahmet area, and it was built in 360 A.D. Byzantine Emperor Constantius was the one who built the first Hagia Sophia. The Hagia Sophia was designed as a basilica for the Greek Orthodox Christian Church. It broadcasts Istanbul's Old City and has served as a landmark for both Orthodox Christians and Muslims for centuries.Aditionally,its significance has shifted with the dominant culture in the Turkish city and function has evolved several times over the centuries. Now it is a widely popular tourist spot and attracts around 3 million people from around the world each year. Moreover, it is considered one of the most mesmerizing tourist spots. Secondly, the Blue Mosque of Istanbul is an Ottoman-era mosque that is also known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque by many people. It was built in the 17th century as a spectacular instance of Islamic architecture. Its quiet and spiritual beauty is enjoyed by almost 4 million people every year.

For thousands of years, Istanbul has been a vital component of the global food and spice trades, and nothing proves this more than stepping inside an Istanbul food market or restaurant. It is not only a place of mesmerizing beauty but also a place of rich cuisine. Turkish cuisine is among the most diverse and varied in the world. Many elements of Ottoman cuisine have been incorporated into Istanbul's culinary culture. The most famous city in Turkey is exciting to visit for a variety of reasons, but the food in Istanbul should be at the top of any list discussing the city's highlights. Baklava is the most famous dessert from Istanbul, and it is loved not only by the people of Turkey but also by people all over the world. Turkish Baklava, also known as Fistikli Baklava or Pistachio Baklava, is a rich, buttery, sweet dessert made with phyllo dough, finely ground pistachios, butter, and syrup. Baklava was considered a wealthy dessert by the Turks. It would be given as a special gift by the Sultan. The Marmara, Aegean, and Mediterranean cuisines are rich in vegetables, fresh herbs, and fish. The Black Sea region's cuisine uses fish extensively.

According to a survey conducted in December 2020, Istanbul has a population of 15.46 million people, making it one of the world's largest cities. More than 90 percent of this population is Muslim; therefore,Islamic festivals are widely celebrated in Istanbul. Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Mawlid an-Nabi, Ramadan, and Lailat al-Qadr are the Islamic festivals.Festivals of other religions are also celebrated .

Apart from the scenic tourist spot, there is another big attraction in Istanbul. The Istanbul International Music Festival, formerly known as the Istanbul Festival, is a cultural event held in Istanbul, Turkey, every June and July. It features performances of European classical music, ballet, opera, and traditional music by well-known artists from around the world.The Istanbul Foundation of Culture and Arts organizes the festival, which began in 1973. This festival has always been one of the most prolific platforms for introducing new music and new talent to audiences.This platform gives the artists a golden opportunity to showcase their talent.
